Lyrical Jazz

We currently don’t have a Lyrical Jazz course open. However, you can sign up for an open class with your favorite instructor. You can find the current schedule in the timetable.

Lyrical jazz is a dance style that combines jazz and modern dance techniques with expressive and emotionally charged performances. This style focuses on telling a story through movement, often inspired by the lyrics themselves, their mood, or deeper meaning. Typical are fluid, softly connected movements that alternate with sharper dynamics – the dance thus mirrors the music not only rhythmically but also emotionally. Emphasis is placed on the dancer’s inner experience, on the ability to express emotional depth, tension, fragility, joy, and sadness through the body. Dance is not just about technique, but above all about authentic expression and connection with music. Lessons are in the form of open classes and are taught in Czech (Veronika) or English (Anna).

Who are the lessons suitable for?

The lessons are designed for anyone who wants to connect technique with emotion and discover self-expression in dance. Suitable for beginners, slightly advanced dancers, as well as advanced dancers who have a foundation in any style of dance (jazz, ballet, etc.). Perfect technique is not necessary – an open approach and a desire to dance are important.

Who teaches this lesson

Verča

Each of my lessons has an overlap in this connection of mind and body, and therefore I believe that whichever one you choose, it will give you exactly what you need at that moment. You will take away more energy, joy in life, relax and harmonize your whole body. I look forward to seeing you.

Anna

I’m a very energetic and creative person, and I love working with dancers of all levels. My classes are not only about technique and movement – they’re also about expression, connection, and growing together. I teach in English, because I believe it’s essential in today’s international dance world – and a great opportunity to build a strong, open, and global community here at Harmony Dance Studio. I’m looking forward to meeting you in class, inspiring each other, and dancing our hearts out – while maybe improving your English along the way, too!
